Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is currently recruiting for their Inventory Planner position on a permanent basis, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba reporting to the Production Superintendent.
What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for determining the quantities and delivery dates required of all IPCO raw materials to meet the requirements of the supplied production schedules and member forecasts. Manage the Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system; establishing lead times, safety stock levels, taking into account consumption rates, and forecasting requirements. Expedite and monitor delivery status for all IPCO purchased materials. Communicate daily/weekly on delivery updates/changes. Routinely, and in a time sensitive environment, update all material quantity and delivery requirements by reviewing revised production schedules.
Some key responsibilities will include:
- • Determining IPCO material quantity, delivery requirements and flow schedule, using bill of materials and
production schedules/forecasts. Assisting the Production Manager in planning of IPCO and Partner production;
succinctly communicating quantities and delivery timing needs to the Inventory Coordinator & Buyer. Based on
existing inventory and outstanding orders and delivery dates, confirming inventory levels (trial kitting) prior to
production and within required timeframes to ensure production can commence as scheduled. Monitor and track
delivery timing of all IPCO production materials’ purchase orders. Receive member production upsides/updates
and review material inventory/delivery dates to determine scheduling options and provide to Production Manager.
- • Develop material flow schedule for Partner (contract customer) goods coming to IPCO’s internal and offsite
warehouses, communicating schedule to Partner customers to ensure that all raw and packaging materials are
available for uninterrupted production. Develop usage agreements for common use components between IPCO
and Partner customers, engaging Partner customers to ensure arrangements are agreeable to both parties.
- • Managing offsite warehouse inventory for both IPCO and Partners. Manage inventory reconciliation between
Syspro, barcode system, offsite warehouse and Partner systems as required. Provide direction and instructions to
ensure reconciliation and posting of all Partner inventory information is completed to meet customer
- • Manage IPCO glyphosate supply chain, including creating, submitting and managing purchases and delivery.

- • You have a relevant one-year certificate program and a minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in
planning, MRP use, and inventory management in a manufacturing environment would be preferred. Supervisory
experience would be an asset. A combination of education and relevant work experience may also be considered.
- • Experience in an ISO 9001 and SAP manufacturing environment is an asset. Knowledge of Operational Excellence
techniques is an asset. Certified Lean Yellow or Green Belt preferred.
