Casual Production Worker(s)

Interprovincial Cooperative Limited (IPCO), a respected leader in the Agricultural industry, is
currently recruiting Casual Production Worker(s) to join our production team. This is a
seasonal position that consists of 37.5 hours per week and lasts roughly 5-6 months. We are
currently seeking casual workers for day shift (Monday – Friday, 7am – 3pm), evening shift, (Monday
– Friday, 3pm – 11pm), and night shift (Sunday – Friday, 11pm – 7am). Pay rates start at $17.31 per
hour with shift premiums, and pay increases after 975 hours. IPCO believes in development and
growth, and offers good opportunities to advance to full-time employment.
What you’ll do:
Casual Production Workers, under the guidance of the Line Leaders and Shift Supervisors, are
responsible for contributing to safe, quality, and efficient packaging processes in order
to meet the established production standards. Duties include but are not limited to:
manual handling of packaging materials, operating packaging equipment, general cleaning
and housekeeping, performing quality inspections throughout the entire packaging process,
ensuring equipment is operating properly, reporting any issues to the Line Leader or Supervisor,
following all health and safety requirements including wearing personal PPE, following all
company policies and procedures and other company programs such as COVID-19 guidelines,
respectful workplace and contamination prevention, meeting expectations of the position, and
performing all other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift up to 25kg floor to waist and 25kg waist to shoulders
• Extensive lifting, walking, standing, bending, and pushing
• Ability to perform repetitive activities
• Occasionally bending and turning while lifting weights of less than 25kg
• Standing for extended periods of time
• Ability to work with packaging and material handling equipment
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent – Required
• 1-2 years’ experience in a production / manufacturing environment – Preferred
• 2-3 years of forklift driving experience – Preferred
• Solid work references, punctual/dependable with reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work in a team environment, a can-do attitude, and ability to multi-task
• Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
• Mechanical background preferred, experience with hazardous materials preferred
• Knowledge of Quality Control and Inventory Control processes is preferred
• Leadership skills are preferred
